Grandmothers, and the Wisdom the World Needs

Grandmothers of the world all say the same things. It does not matter what culture they live in, or what language they speak, or what level of education they have. All grandmothers give the same advice.

Don’t be greedy. Learn to share. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Don’t be greedy. Too bad Wall Street guys didn’t have grandmothers.

Learn to share. Too bad the developed world didn’t have grandmothers.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Too bad Israel and Palestine (pick your quarrel) didn’t have grandmothers.

Imagine, there have been no grandmothers anywhere. How amazing.

Or, maybe, we all don’t know how to listen to our own inner wisdom. We would rather be right, than be wise.

But, being right is very costly.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face, say grandmothers.

It is undeniable that most of the time, though we hate to admit it, we would rather be right, than be wise. A bequeathed eye opener from shared by the wisdom of our grandmothers that often get neglected.

i think they got their wisdom through their experiences in life. “being right is very costly” i agree to this one just like in business taxes are very costly that why some businessmen dont state their true financial statements.

This makes me remember my grandmother who passed away a long time ago. She was really sweet and lovable to us, she treated us all equal and always sermon us if we did bad things. Grandmothers really are the best guardian.

what is post-linearity?

linear thinking has been useful, but it is not enough for creating a life that fits within a holistic reality. causes are effect, effects are causes, and the rational and the logical are not enough to explain reality, without putting serious limits on possibility. i am not saying they are wrong, or not useful, i am saying they are not enough. we need a post-linear understanding.
